This is a second test post to verify wikilink resolution between posts and demonstrate the dispatch content type. Dispatches are shorter, more informal pieces — quick thoughts and observations rather than full essays.

Check out Hello World for the first post, which exercises the full feature set including table of contents and sidenotes.

Content Types Matter

The distinction between essays and dispatches helps readers set expectations. Essays are deeper explorations with research and analysis. Dispatches are snapshots — moments captured in text.

This post intentionally omits a table of contents (the toc frontmatter defaults to false), since shorter pieces don’t need navigation scaffolding. The reading experience should feel lighter, more immediate.

Testing Navigation

The prev/next navigation at the bottom of each post creates a browsable archive. Posts become connected nodes in a network rather than isolated documents. The “pinned” feature on the Hello World post ensures it appears first in the writing index, even though this post is technically newer by date.

Together, these features create a cohesive reading environment that respects both the content and the reader’s time.
