Ok, kids, here’s the deal:

I’ve spent the last 4 or 5 days slowly migrating my site and its content from a movable type system to pMachine. I’m ready to flip the switch.

There will be no need to change your bookmarks.

Permalinks to older entries on the MT setup will be remain on on MT until I can create some redirect rules to point them to their new locations on pMachine.

For those of you reading this via newsreaders, I will maintain my rss feeds at the same URLs for you. pMachine is a little funky and constrained with its rss formatting, so, for now, the entries will revert to excerpts rather than full text. They should remain valid rss, but I’d appreciate a comment if they break for you. It’s likely that when I migrate, your newsreaders will create duplicate entries for the last 20 or so entries (since they will appear to be different).

I will complete the migration early Tuesday morning and then we’ll be on a new and improved setup. I intend to write about the why’s and how’s of my switching platforms.
